Southern New England Rehabilitation Center announces Relocation
to Fatima Hospital
(North Providence, Rhode Island) The Southern New England Rehabilitation
Center (SNERC), Rhode Island's most comprehensive provider of inpatient
rehabilitation care, has relocated to Our Lady of Fatima Hospital
from St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty Care where it was established
20 years ago.
The relocation is part of a master consolidation plan embraced
by corporate parent St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island,
wherein the St. Joseph campus is being decommissioned. Under the
plan, all remaining impatient services, including the rehabilitation
and behavioral health services, have been moved to newly renovated
space at Fatima Hospital
SNERC is now located on a newly renovated 18-bed unit designed
especially to optimize the delivery of rehabilitation care and therapies
and features the best in patient amenities. The relocation project
received state regulatory approval last year and construction costs
were funded in part by federal grant dollars.
SNERC provides patients recovering from a stroke, hip fracture
or other neurologic or orthopedic condition with a complete range
of rehabilitation services, including neuropsychology, physical
therapy, occupational therapy speech therapy, recreation therapy
and outpatient services
SNERC is a joint venture with Rhode Island Hospital, a Lifespan partner,
and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities (CARF).
As a joint venture of Rhode Island Hospital and
St. Joseph Health Services, our commitment to
rehabilitation excellence will not change with this
move. You can continue to expect:
- 20 years of acknowledged market leadership.
- An experienced team of nurses and therapists
who work with skilled physician specialists.
- Proven quality in patient outcomes.
